Vegetables like carrots, cauliflower, and potatoes, among others, can be made with seasonings and spices to add flavour and texture.
The easiest way to make them is with the vegetable sauce that’s already in your crockpot.
But with a little creativity, you can also make the best vegetables in your own kitchen with a simple addition of garlic, oregano, and salt and pepper.1.
To Make Vegetables in Crockpots: Combine 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons butter, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, 1 (12-ounce) can tomato paste, and 1 teaspoon salt in a saucepan.
Heat over medium heat until butter melts.
Add in onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until onion is translucent.
Add garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
Add oreganos, thyme and salt.
Cook, stirring often, until the spices are fragrant.
Add the tomato paste and cook until the tomato sauce has thickened.
Add water and cook over low heat until the vegetables are tender.
Stir in the seasonings, tomato sauce, and water.
Remove from heat and stir in pasta.
Repeat with remaining ingredients, cooking until pasta is al dente.
